I personally love this option as I use it myself. I don’t believe in calorie counting but ensuring your body gets the proper amount of nutrients to fuel you through the day. 

Macronutrients are “major” nutrients that require energy to break them down and be absorbed in our bodies. Every food consumed is individually and/or a combination of the three Macronutrients: Protein, Fat, Carbohydrate. 

At rest, your body need fuel (energy) to keep running… to keep your brain going, heart pumping and stomach churning. That’s why calculating macros can be challenging, tough and at time frustrating. 

Factors that go into these numbers are:

Age

Weight + desired Weight 

Body style 

Current diet (Paleo, keto, Atkins, Vegetarian, etc.)

Fitness output  

Historical successes 

Food awareness (how you feel with certain foods)

Goals

There are many factors that impact the numbers, as stated previously, I forsee these numbers as a step in the long term picture. Please keep in mind that number changes and alterations could be need based on the results you see. There is no one right way for all but this is a good way to help direct you as you tackle the next couple months of change.
